Health Insurance For International Students

UHIP is a compulsory health insurance plan for all international students and their dependents and available for students who are not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan.

UHIP is comparable (not equivalent) to OHIP in that UHIP and OHIP provide coverage for the same services. UHIP terms of coverage can be found in the "UHIP Summary of Coverage” section. For information on the OHIP program please visit the OHIP website.
